George Donald McDonald photographs, 1942-1944.

The George Donald McDonald Photographs consist primarily of a series of photographs taken by McDonald while a member of the Air Transport Command during World War II. Subjects include Whitehorse, Yukon Territory; Circle and Circle Hot Springs, Alaska; scenery of Interior Alaska; and fellow servicemen and their leisure activities. The collection also includes 14 photographic postcards featuring northern subjects; a copy of the book The Alaska Highway (revised ed. 1943), which served as an autograph book (signed by McDonald's colleagues when he left the service); and a brief biographical sketch of McDonald.
